Atelier Ryza 2: how to get Ether Cores
There are a few different ways to get Ether Cores in Atelier Ryza 2. Not all of them are equal in their usefulness, as some cost hard-earned Cole, while others will require a fair bit of time investment. Here are the main ways to get them:
Buy from merchants Farm Ether Cores at the farm Enemy drops
Enemy drops from Boulder Soldier and Eternal Sculpture
There are only five or so enemies that will drop Ether Cores in Atelier Ryza 2. Only two can be respawned after you first beat them: the Boulder Soldier and the Eternal Sculpture. These enemies can be located in the Crystal Cave of Oblivion in the Southern Outskirts area and the Water Spirit’s Sanctuary in the Northern lands area of the map, respectively. The problem with this method is that these enemies drop fairly low level Ether Cores, of lower quality than if you make them yourself.
Farming Ether Cores
In order to start this method you will need to have unlocked access to the farm. This can be done by completing side quests at Klare’s Farming District, in the Ashra-am Baird area of the map. Once you have this unlocked you’ll need to create Mystery Seeds. To do so, unlock the Seed Making skill and the Max Quality skill in the upgrade tree. Now it’s onto crafting the seeds themselves, keep these things in mind.
Rare Gather Rate XXL, Gather Quantity XL, High Growth XL and Trait Level Up XXL should be applied Add essence to Gather Quantity XL and Rare Gather Rate Up XXL Plant 10 Mystic Seeds Go and sleep at the Atelier a few times Harvest Ether Cores
You’ll receive 2 or 3 high-quality Ether Cores by doing this. Easily the fastest way to get Ether Cores currently in the game.
Buy from merchants
The final way to get Ether Cores is to buy them from Phantom Shop Merchants. The tricky thing here is that their stock is pulled at random from a long list of items, so it’s not guaranteed you’ll be able to get Ether Cores. I found a merchant in the Den of Wise area in the western area of the map that sold them, so go check it out.
